West Plains, MO. – The West Plains Zizzers took on the Rolla Bulldogs in Ozark Conference action on Friday, September 16, 2022. Right out of the gate, the Zizzers showed the Bulldogs they were playing for keeps by returning the opening punt for a quick touchdown in the first quarter. West Plains continued to dominate the first half, both in touchdowns and in flags called against them. The first half ended with points for both teams but the Zizzers leading the Bulldogs, 14 to 7.
There were no points scored in the third quarter of the game but a great show for the defense of both teams. The fourth quarter proved that West Plains were still ready to bring the thunder, scoring two more unanswered touchdowns and ending the game with a solid win, 28 to 7.
Next week, the West Plains Zizzers will play the Camdenton Lakers at Zizzer Stadium on Friday, September 23, 2022.
