Dolores McKinney

Dolores Hodges McKinney died peacefully at her residence in Mammoth Spring, AR, February 25th, 2022. She was 87 years old.

She was born to Rufus Henry Hodges and Glessner Lamons Hodges September 15th, 1934, in West Plains, MO. The oldest of seven, she was a resourceful, hard working and determined woman. She and her husband, Bill were successful business owners, owning and running several barbecue restaurants in West Plains MO and Hardy AR. She loved antiques, her flowers, especially her rose bushes, “her” hummingbirds and her grandchildren.

She is survived by: her daughter, Janice (Kevin) McPherson of Paragould, AR; her son, Robert (Julie) McKinney of Fayetteville, AR; and a step daughter, Elizabeth (Bob) Randall of Southaven, MS. She had one grandson, Mark (Amanda) Randall of Athens, AL; three granddaughters, Shelby (Jacob) Spence of Little Rock, AR, Nicole (Jon) Clausen of Bristol, TN, and Katherine McKinney of Fayetteville, AR. She was Great Grand mother to Jack and Sarah Randall, Aurora Liles, Jack and Archer Clausen and Amelia Spence. Two brothers survive, JD (Carolyn) Hodges of Salem, AR and Hank (Nancy) Hodges of Lawrence, KS; as well as her long time companion, Ray Dmytriw.
Dolores had numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband Bill; 4 brothers (Woody, Boyd, Darrell and Dean); her only sister, Dorilleen; and her son, Lonnie.

Funeral services will be 1pm Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at the Clary Funeral Home in Thayer, MO, with burial following in the Field Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be 12pm-1pm just prior to the service.
