Floyd was born on September 23, 1929 to Boyd and Irene(Brashear) Howell in Koshkonong, Mo.
Floyd was a member of the Washington Avenue Church of Christ.
Floyd was an avid horseman. He loved competing pulling horses of all sizes in contests all over in several states. He had also won many state competitions.
Floyd was a logger his whole life there wasn’t too much ground in this area that he hadn’t cut logs off of at one point in time. There was nothing that he enjoyed more than his grandchildren. They were the light of his life.
Floyd is survived by his three children; Rick(Missy) Howell, Koshkonong, MO; Kathy(Bob) Hatley, West Plains, MO; Tim Howell, Koshkonong, MO.
Eight grandchildren: Barrett(Shelby) Goss, Mandy(J.B) Collins, Sasha(Eric) Veatch, Hunter Warren, Brylee(Bailey) Bolla, Jaydon Roy, Brinkley Howell, and Cooper Howell.
Four Great- Grandchildren: Eli and Wyatt Collins, Braelyn and Addisyn Veatch.
One Sister: Wanda Herbolsheimer, Springfield, Mo.
Three Special nephews: Jack Howell, Johnny Ward, and Kevin Howell.
With many other Nieces, Nephews, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Boyd and Irene. Two brothers: Norman Howell and Tommy Howell. One sister Thelma and an infant Son Larry Lee Howell.
