Harold Sam Crass

Harold Kenneth “Sam” Crass, age 84 of Myrtle, MO, was born April 14, 1937, in Myrtle, MO, and passed away February 5, 2022, at Ozarks Health Center in West Plains, MO.

Survivors include: 3 sons, Jay March and wife Tina, Robert March & wife Jennifer, and William “Billy” Sandridge & wife Lorrie; 1 sister, Helen Sue Crass; many grandchildren & great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Robert & Claudia (Hartwell) Crass; 8 siblings, Hildred Crass, Blanton Crass, Charles Crass, Lenore Stephens, Jerald Crass, Harry Crass, Glen Crass, and Mary Lou Freeman; 1 grandson, Chase March.

Sam was a friend to all and never knew a stranger. He loved to talk and tell stories about his family, his heritage and Myrtle history. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and making honey. Sam looked forward to deer season each year when he had many family members travel from out of town to spend the week on the Crass family farm. He loved spending time with his family. He loved animals and always had a variety of them that he cared for. His presence will be sorely missed by his family, many friends and community.

Services will be 10am Saturday, February 12, 2022, at the Clary Funeral Home in Thayer, MO with Bro. John Clark officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home of Thayer, MO.
