West Plains School District Announced Educator Of The Year

West Plains, MO. – The West Plains School District held its annual Faculty and Staff Awards Luncheon on May 16, 2024. This event was created to honor achievements in various categories, including years of service, retirements, special proclamations, New Professional of the Year, Support Staff of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, and District Educator of the Year. 

The teacher named 2024 Teacher of the Year is Mrs. Korrie Vance. She is a Middle School Teacher in the West Plains School District.

Professional of the Year was awarded to Ms. Shandon Rhoads. She is a teacher at the Zizzer Pride Academy. 

The West Plains R-Vll School District Coach of the Year was awarded to Coach Ryan Smith. He coaches the boys’ and girls’ swim teams. 

The West Plains R-Vll School District Above and Beyond award was given to the West Plains FFA Team, which consists of Jay Hale, Tonya Jedlicka, and Rachel Brotherton.

The Zizzer Champion of the Year Award was given to Samantha Fox, the South Fork Elementary School Nurse.
