West Plains, MO. – Two award winning authors from outside the area have made an appearance in West Plains, MO. as a part of the ongoing effort to bring an expansion of culture through the Lincoln School Project.
The guests who’ve popped up are Charly Palmer, and Dr. Karida Brown, who we had the chance to speak with this morning. Palmer and Brown, have received high praise on reviews of their new book, titled The New Brownies’ Book: A Love Letter to Black Families. Inside the book are several works, both artistic and written that communicate a wide array of topics.
But this husband and wife duo also have also done several things on their own that show their success, whether through art, other books, or work in sociology. Crockett and Tanya Oaks are hosting the pair currently, and you’ll be able to meet the both of them through different signing events and presentations. One will occur tonight at the Lincoln School from 5pm to 6:30pm. They will also be available at the Jimmie Caroll Sports Complex from 8am to 9am tomorrow, and at the Frame Shop tomorrow from 9:15am to 10:15am.
Don’t miss your chance to meet these interesting individuals.
