Texas County high-speed chase: suspect arrested, stolen truck recovered

UPDATE: The stolen red 2005 Chevrolet was located in Miller County and a suspect taken into custody. 

On April 26, 2020 at approximately 5 a.m. a Texas County deputy responded to a burglar alarm at a residence on AF Highway in the Licking area.  Upon arriving at the location, a suspect was on scene and fled from the deputy.  A short high-speed pursuit ensued, and the deputy lost contact with the suspect vehicle on N highway.  The male suspect was driving a Dodge truck reported stolen from Licking.

The Dodge truck was later recovered in Miller County.  Another vehicle was stolen in Miller County that could be related to this incident.  The stolen vehicle from Miller County is described as a red 2005 Chevrolet 1500 single cab pickup truck with Missouri license plate 9CAM36.  Anyone having information about this incident or observing the suspect vehicle is encouraged to    call 911 or 417-967-4165 option 1 for dispatch.
