(Kansas City, MO) — Kansas City is moving on from one of its most experienced players. The Royals have designated infielder Hunter Dozier for assignment. The 31-year-old was the eighth overall pick in the 2013 MLB Draft. Dozier is in the third year of a four-year, 25-million dollar pact that he signed with Kansas City back in 2021. He will go through waivers over the next week and if no team picks up his contract, the Royals will be responsible for the 16.75-million dollars that he’s due.
