Emma worked at many occupations over the years but was most proud of obtaining her CNA and being a caregiver. She was known in later years as a door greeter at Walmart. Emma was a kind hearted soul who loved people and helping others in need. The things that brought her the greatest joy in life were family, church, community, and quilting.

Besides her parents, Emma was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Nungesser; two sons, Lonnie and Danny Nungesser; four brothers, Elza, Ruben, Walter, and Norman Jarrett; and two sisters, Avis Kennedy and Grace Gott.

Emma is survived by one son, Donnie Nungesser and wife, Lena, of Garnett, Kansas; three daughters, Mary Rech and husband, Bob, of Wichita, Kansas, Linda Furnas-Longwell and husband, Jeff, of Springfield, Missouri, and Brenda Selby and husband, Doug, of Columbia, Missouri; twenty-four grandchildren; fifty-five great-grandchildren; fourteen great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Harris and husband, Vic, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Barbara Barnes of Mountain Grove, Missouri; many other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

Emma’s last two days here on earth brought her great joy as she got to spend many hours visiting, face timing, and phone calls with many of those she loved. She was ushered into the arms of Jesus and now is rejoicing on streets of gold.
