West Plains, MO. – Local youth in the West Plains High School FCCLA program are currently raising funds for a special project focused on aiding in mental health care in the area.
Two of these students, Brooklyn Dienst and Kenzie Sandgrin, stepped into the studio last week to talk to us about this project.
This effort, called Project Healing the Hurt, is a community service project with a focus on mental health. It includes a partnership with CASA and Christos House to put together bags meant to be spread throughout the community for those who may be struggling.
Those who are interested in donating or learning more can email Bdienst32@gmail.com, dial 417-274-6430, or contact Megan Hurst at West Plains High School.
