Bobby “Bob” Dean Wray, Age 79, retired State Farm Insurance Agent of Wichita, Kansas returned to his heavenly Father on Friday, December 9, 2023. Bob was born on October 28, 1944, to Reverend Clifford and Juell Wray in Pontiac, Missouri.
He married his sweetheart, Janice Marie, and had three children, Mellissa Wray, James Wray, and Brian Wray. After retirement, he enjoyed his other loves including church on Sundays, spending time with family, traveling, and was an avid hunter here in the states and Africa. Bob belonged to a church that he loved and greeted everyone with a handshake and a big smile.
Bob is survived by son, James Wray, son, Brian Wray, and brother, David Wray. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Phillip Wray, wife, Janice Wray, and daughter, Mellisa Wray.
Funeral Service is Wednesday, December 20th, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at the Riverlawn Christian Church, located at 4243 N. Meridian Avenue, Wichita, KS 67204. Services in care of Downing & Lahey West Mortuary.
The burial will take place in Pontiac, Missouri at the Pontiac Cemetery with graveside services on Friday, December 22, 2023, at 2:00 pm. Local arrangements are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
