Alton, MO. – A driver from Alton has been hospitalized and is facing criminal charges after a weekend crash.
Scotty Hand, a 68-year-old male from Alton, was found intoxicated on drugs after his crash on January 20th. Hand had travelled across the center line on Highway 99 north of Thomasville while driving a Ford Mustang. His vehicle then struck a Jeep Wrangler.
Both vehicles were moderately damaged, but Hand was the only injured person. His wounds were listed as being serious. He was taken to Ozarks Healthcare for treatment.
His criminal charge is being listed as a misdemeanor DWI – Drugs.
