Tonya Karlene Barton, 58 year old resident on Ripley County, MO departed this life Friday, February 2, 2024 in Reynolds County, MO. Tonya was born February 2, 1965 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to the late James and Bertha Thomas Samons. She was a housewife and had worked in home health. Tonya enjoyed yard sales, fishing, and the most important thing in her life was being a Grandma.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Carl Barton, Jr; sister Tamra Samons; and brother Brandon Samons.
On December 19, 1986, in Doniphan, MO she was married to Carl Barton, Sr.in Doniphan, MO. He survives. Also surviving is her daughter, Jessica Wilson of Doniphan; brothers, Kevin, Pat and Arlan Samons all of Doniphan, MO; and grandchildren Miles and Jaycee.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at 2 PM. Visiting will begin at Noon in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Barton Cemetery.
