Christopher Wilson, a dedicated beef cattle farmer, Army veteran, and nature enthusiast, passed away on April 24, 2024, in Vanzant, Missouri. He was born on July 18, 1947, in Imperial Beach, California, to Daniel and Laveta (Poor) Wilson.
Christopher led a fulfilling life centered around his love for agriculture and the great outdoors. As a beef cattle farmer, he worked tirelessly to care for his animals and land, embodying the values of hard work and perseverance.
In addition to his successful farming career, Christopher proudly served in the Army, demonstrating his dedication to his country with honor and bravery. His service exemplified his commitment to serving something greater than himself.
Outside of work, Christopher had a variety of hobbies and interests that showcased his adventurous spirit. From hunting and fishing to boating, water skiing, and woodworking, he found joy in exploring the beauty of nature and creating things with his hands. He often enjoyed going to cookouts at the Clifty Creek Ranch. One of his proudest accomplishments was serving as an elk hunting guide in New Mexico and Idaho, where he shared his passion for hunting with others.
Christopher was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Laveta.
Christopher is survived by his wife, Evelyn; son, Daniel Wilson and wife, Laurel, of Vanzant, Missouri; brother, Gary Wilson and wife, Beth, of Riverside, California; sisters, Carol Curtis and husband, Charley, of Ava, Missouri, Daneta Hines of Mountain Grove, Missouri, and Kathy Love and husband, Lance, of Buffalo, Missouri; and one grandchild, Christopher “Ben” Wilson.
Christopher Wilson will be remembered for his strong work ethic, love for the land, dedication to service, and adventurous spirit. His legacy will live on through the memories shared by all who knew him.
