Missouri State Highway Patrol Warn of Scam Going State-Wide

Missouri – The Missouri State Highway Patrol have issued a public announcement, that a law-enforcement impersonation scam has now made the patrol the target of their impersonations.

This scam is one we’ve seen frequently in recent years, where the scammer pretends to be an officer of the law, informing their potential victim of some threat of law enforcement action unless the victim makes some form of payment over the phone.

Law enforcement never ask for payments of any kind over the phone, and the best plan of action is to hang up, and call your local law enforcement office to verify.

The Highway Patrol say that if a person asks you to send your money anywhere, you should assume it’s a scam.
