The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a member of the Thomasville Volunteer Fire Department was killed while responding to a call. The firetruck overturned on a curve, resulting in fatal injuries for the 72-year-old firefighter, who has not been identified by the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The driver of the pumper truck, a 66-year-old female, was seriously injured and was flown to a hospital in Memphis for treatment.
In a recent change, the Missouri State Highway Patrol does not release the identities of injured or deceased victims of traffic crashes.
