A 26‑year‑old man from Mount Vernon was moderately injured in a rollover crash early Monday on Highway 76 at Skyline in Douglas County. The Highway Patrol says the eastbound 2010 Jeep Patriot ran off the left side of the road around 3:10 a.m., overturned, and struck a tree. The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene.
The driver, who was not wearing a safety device, was taken by ambulance to Cox South Hospital in Springfield.
