Alton Man Facing Multiple Felonies After Slamming into Two Law Enforcement Vehicles

Alton, MO. – A man is facing multiple felony charges now after he crashed into multiple law enforcement vehicles.

This event took place on September 3rd, with the probable cause outlining the incident. This began when Oregon County Deputies and an Alton PD officer spotted Daniel Johnson, 56 of Alton, driving after knowing he had no valid license. A pursuit took place not long after, where Johnson put on his brakes, causing a patrol car to hit the back of his vehicle, before then striking a second patrol in front of him, and speeding away to his residence on AA Highway.

Johnson was not apprehended on the scene due to the damage to the vehicles.

Charges include two counts of 2nd Degree Assault of a Special Victim, two counts of Armed Criminal Action, two counts of 1st Degree Property Damage, Operating a Motor Vehicle in a Careless Manner Resulting in an Accident, Failure to Yield to Emergency Vehicles, and Operating a Motor Vehicle Without a Valid License.
