Mountain Grove, MO. –The City of Mountain Grove Animal Control announced a temporary freeze on intakes and adoptions. This measure comes after an ill dog was brought into the shelter, necessitating the quarantine of all animals currently in their care and a thorough sanitization of the facility in line with established protocols.
ACO J. Vieths stated, “This is not a cause for concern and is only a precautionary measure to protect and preserve the health of our community’s pets while we work with our veterinarian to ensure the animals in our facility are properly cared for.”
Despite the freeze on adoptions and intakes, the Mountain Grove Animal Control will continue normal operations and provide assistance in other areas. Further updates will be shared as more information becomes available.
