West Plains, MO. – An accident on a private property involving a UTV has ended in the injuries of one West Plains resident, according to the latest report from Troop G of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Trooper K.L. Hogan of Troop G states in his report that the time and date of the accident was Saturday, April 15th at 7:57pm. The location was on private property East of County Road 6420.

Jered Smith, 39 of West Plains was the driver of the Kawasaki Teryx being driven, and the accident occurred when Smith attempted a right turn and overturned the vehicle. A passenger, Jared Finley, 38 of West Plains, suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Ozarks Healthcare for recovery. He was not wearing a safety device.
