Following a competitive selection process, the Commission approved moving forward with selecting Elevatus as the architectural design team.

The initial phase of the project will focus on assessing the County’s current and future law enforcement facilities. This assessment will help establish the space, operational, security, and functional requirements necessary for a modern facility capable of serving the community for years to come.

The assessment and design process will also consider the potential needs of the Sheriff’s Office, Detention Center, and Justice Center, with the goal of determining the most effective approach for meeting those needs.

Selecting the right architectural team is an important first step in planning for the future of our law enforcement operations. Elevatus brings valuable experience and a thoughtful approach to this process, and we look forward to working with their team as we evaluate our needs and develop a plan for a facility that will serve our community well into the future.

The needs assessment and subsequent design process will provide the Commission and the Sheriff with information to guide future decisions regarding the scope, configuration, location, and development of the proposed facility.

The County appreciates the time and effort invested by all firms that participated in the selection process and presented proposals. The Commission looks forward to working with Elevatus Architects and beginning the next phase of planning for a new law enforcement facility.
