MDC Named 2024 Agency of the Year by National Deer Association

The Missouri Department of Conservation has been honored with the 2024 Agency of the Year Award by the National Deer Association. The prestigious award recognizes an agency for its innovative and progressive deer management techniques, positive impact on deer management regulations, and efforts in hunter education, recruitment, and engagement.

MDC received the award on March 28 at the Commission Headquarters in Jefferson City. The recognition highlights the department’s comprehensive efforts in managing Missouri’s white-tailed deer population, involving hunters, landowners, and conservation partners to ensure healthy deer populations and sustainable hunting opportunities.
