New Library to be Constructed in Houston, MO.

Houston, MO. – The city of Houston, MO. will be seeing a new building constructed in the future to be used as a library for the town.

The location of this library is reported to be at 1st and Pine Streets in Houston, built directly on top of the Houston Storm Shelter to serve as the top floor. A contract has been awarded through bid to Gentry Construction Company Inc., and is valued at over $2.5 million. Architecture for this project has been allocated to Sapp Design Architects of Springfield. The new library is expected to face eastward toward Lone Star Plaza, and construction is likely to begin later this year.
