Ozark County, MO — The Ozark County Sheriff’s Office has just recently released information regarding multiple arrests that took place throughout March 2025. Deputies remained busy last month with a series of arrests involving felony warrants, drug trafficking, threats of violence, and more.
Here’s a summary of the reported incidents:
On March 17, 2025, deputies attempted to serve an active felony warrant on Brandon Mills. Upon arriving at his residence, Mills fled inside and hid in a closet. However, deputies were quick to locate him, and after a short game of “hide and seek,” Mills was arrested without further incident and booked into the Ozark County Jail.
On March 21, 2025, the Ozark County Special Enforcement Team (S.E.T.) executed a search warrant at the residence of Gloria Barnett and Richard McCoy in Wasola. During the search, approximately 5 ounces of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and firearms were discovered. Authorities noted that some of the substances appeared to be mixed with a sugar-like material, pending official lab analysis.
Gloria Barnett, Richard McCoy, and Willie Huelsenbeck were all arrested and booked on multiple charges, including possession of methamphetamine and firearms, trafficking a controlled substance, and maintaining a nuisance property.
In a tongue-in-cheek note, the Sheriff’s Office joked about a “customer service hotline” for anyone who may have previously purchased meth from the location and wanted to file a complaint.
On March 26, 2025, deputies responded to reports of gunfire in Wasola following threats made by a former employee, Samuel Miller, who had allegedly left threatening messages for co-workers after being terminated. Later that night, approximately 30 shots were reported near the business, prompting a lockdown. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.
Miller fled before law enforcement arrived but was located and arrested the following morning without further incident. He faces charges of armed criminal action, harassment, and making terrorist threats. A search warrant was also executed, leading to the collection of additional evidence.
On March 27, 2025, Deputies Lane and Phelan served a felony warrant on Jessica Sherwood in Wasola. Sherwood was located without incident and booked into the Ozark County Jail.
The Ozark County Sheriff’s Office continues to encourage community members to report suspicious activity and remains committed to protecting the safety of the county.
