Ava, MO. – An arrest occurred on February 10th in Ava, the second in connection to an incident on February 2nd, where an infant child had been reportedly run over by a vehicle.
Kellianne Bacon, 34, of Ava, the mother of the child, was arrested. The series of events appear to be that Bacon, and Joseph Farris, 39 of Mansfield, were transferring various items between two vehicles near Highway FF.
Both were high and intoxicated during the event, and both were driving. Bacon had set the baby in a car seat in front of the vehicle driven by Farris. Farris then, thinking they were finished, drove forward and drug the child in the car seat under his vehicle a short distance.
Farris was charged and remains in custody. Bacon was taken into custody on the 10th, and was charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child, 1st Degree. Her bond has been set at $1,500 cash.
