West Plains, MO. – Several events will be going on in downtown West Plains this week, especially on Saturday! In this week’s West Plains Arts Alliance Update with Terry Hampton, two events are highlighted at the Yellow House, and one will be taking place at the Avenue Theatre.
According to Terry, both Yellow House events will be taking place on Saturday. The first will be a community mural painting event, from 2pm to 4pm, and all who attend will be welcome to join.
After that, from 4pm to 6pm, the “Conversation Starters” art show will be starting, which will include a Meet the Artists event during the opening. This show will be free to attend, and attendee’s are encouraged to discuss the art presented.
The last event discussed will be Red, White & Blue at the Avenue, where local talents will get on the stage and perform music for the audience. Despite the theme, patriotic songs or compositions are not required.
