West Plains R-VII School District announced that more than $27,000 has been donated by West Plains Bank and Trust Company to equip the district’s school buses with Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs).
The donation was made possible through the Zizzer Debit Card Program, which has provided thousands of dollars in support to the district over the years. The School District stated in a recent social media post that West Plains Bank and Trust Company is a dedicated partner, investing both time and resources to enhance student safety and well-being.
All bus drivers will go through CPR and AED training and once the training is complete, AEDs will be installed, allowing access to the potential lifesaving technology for students, staff, and drivers in the event of an emergency.
