West Plains Man Seriously Injured While Operating a Motorcycle

Dora, MO. – A resident of the West Plains area has been inflicted with serious injuries following a one-vehicle motorcycle accident during the late afternoon of Saturday, July 15th.

This crash took place in Douglas County on Highway CC, five miles South of Dora. It was investigated by Sergeant L.S. Elliott of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop G. Justin Stepp was traveling Southbound and riding atop a 2006 Harley Davidson, when he traveled off the roadway, struck a tree, and overturned.

It is unclear what caused Stepp to travel off the roadway, and he was not wearing a safety device at the time of the crash. He sustained serious injuries in the accident, which necessitated the use of air ambulance transportation to Cox South in Springfield for treatment.
