Darrell Lee Burch, 71, of Salem, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024, in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Darrell was born on March 17, 1952, to William Thomas “Billy” Burch and Audra Mae (Langle) Burch in Heart, Arkansas.
Darrell married Kathy Ann Sparkman on September 8, 1973, in Salem, Arkansas. Darrell worked as a mechanic and farmer during his working career. Darrell loved his grandchildren, animals (especially horses), and attended school for a time to become a veterinarian. Darrell could fix anything, enjoyed fishing, was a jack of all trades, was a gunsmith, and rode bareback horses in rodeos. Darrell was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, friend and was of Christian faith.
Darrell leaves to mourn his passing wife, Kathy Burch of Salem, Arkansas; son, Tony Burch and wife Danaya of Greenbrier, Arkansas; two granddaughters Abigail Elizabeth Burch of Greenbrier, Arkansas and Justine Aulaura Burch of Greenbrier, Arkansas; brother, Jim Burch and wife Kathy of Meridian, Mississippi; many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers (Billy Joe Burch and David Burch) and three sisters (Imogene Johnson, Ruby Smoot, and Hazel Shelley).
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas with Bro. John Hodges, Nancy Dailey, Vernon Moore, and Tom Johnson officiating. Interment will be in the Burks Chapel Cemetery in Camp, Arkansas. The pallbearers will be Jesse Burch, Tom Johnson, Bobby Shelley, Stephen Shelley, Daniel Shelley, and Justin Wray. The honorary pallbearers will be Vernon Moore, Donald Sammons, Nancy Dailey, Jim Burch, and Larry Rhines. Memorials may be made to Burks Chapel Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
