Edgar Stubbs Wheeler, 81 years, 11 months, 4 days old, passed peacefully on December 20, 2024, at his home in Ava, Missouri (Brushyknob community) with family by his side.
Eddie was born January 16, 1943, in Harrington, Delaware. His parents were Herman and Edith (Clark) Wheeler.
He was raised in Harrington, Delaware. He served honorably with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam war. He was a missile expert.
Eddie was a mechanic with the Playtex Corporation out of Delaware for 35 years. He also operated his own HVAC heating and air conditioning business and a gunshop.
On December 4, 1982, Eddie and Betty Jane Hughes were united in marriage in Ridgely, Maryland, at the Methodist Church.
Eddie and Betty moved to the Brushyknob area in 2006 from Delaware. Eddie loved working on the farm with Betty. He enjoyed hunting and being outdoors. He believed in Jesus Christ.
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents.
Eddie is survived by his wife, Betty; children and their spouses, Shelley and Glenn Ford, Rhonda and Dave Ramsey; two grandsons, Dylan Ford and his fiancé, Karli and Damien, and Kelsey DeRohn; two great grandsons; other extended relatives and friends.
Cremation services for Eddie are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, Missouri, per his request. The family will have a private celebration of life at a later date.
