Eva Jane Clark

Eva Jane Conkin Clark, 99, of Cabool, MO, passed away peacefully  February 21, 2025 in Cabool, MO. She was born in West Plains, MO on November 10, 1925 to Tecumseh and Cynthia Anna (Ussery) Conkin. 

She went to Cabool High School and graduated in 1943. Eva Jane was a proud member of the Cabool Christian Church, baptized on January 17, 1940, making her the oldest living member.

She was united in marriage to Covert Clark on October 5, 1948 in Hardy, Arkansas. His, hers, and ours equals 6 children. 

Eva Jane was involved in VFW Hall Ladies auxiliary, Red Cross volunteer, Red Hat society, Tax collector, worked the polls on elections, Christian Church member and the quilting group there every week, Texas County MO Republican women’s group, the prestigious Sexy Six club, Art Club, Bunko nights, and many other things in the community. She enjoyed camping, quilting, gambling, friends, card games, crocheting, golf, bowling, and cooking. Above all she loved her family most.

Eva Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Tecumseh and Anna Conkin; husband, Covert Clark; brother, Jarrett Conkin; sons, Dale and Mike Clark; granddaughter, Angie Clark and great granddaughter, Brandy Lynn Davis.  She is survived by her daughters, Betty (Gayle) Sterner and Anna Gale Webb; sons, Kurt and Kevin (Sheila) Clark all of Cabool; grandchildren, Pamela, Jeffery, Carolyn, Laura, Bonita, Tammy, Theresa, Mason, Tabby, Cynthia, Anne, Chris, Cory, and Bailey; one niece, Dianne (Conkin) Gooche of MN; 33 great grandchildren, 25 great great grandchildren and 3 great great great grandchildren.

Eva Jane was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, great great great grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, and neighbor. She loved her family and community very much.
