Richard Charles Robertson, Sr.

Richard Charles Robertson, 65 years, 5 months, 23 days old, passed away on April 13, 2022 at Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare Center with his daughter, Stephanie by his side.

Rick was born October 20, 1956 in Branson, MO to Lyle and Stella (Thornbrew) Robertson.

Rick was a master carpenter and he always said he was a “Jack of all trades.” He loved his work in construction and had a strong work ethic. He had built many homes, banks, apartment building and a few barns.

Rick was a Christian and a member of the Southern Baptist Church. He was proud of his faith and his family heritage in the church.

He enjoyed his farm life and especially his horses. He loved trail riding and barrel racing. Rick got the opportunity to compete three times in the NBHA Open World Barrel Racing competition in Augusta, Georgia. He also loved going to the creek and mudding in his Old Blue truck, that his son’s helped him build. Most of all his joy was being with his family!

Rick was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Annie Robertson; a self adopted son, Coleman Miles; and a granddaughter, Paisleigh Russell.

Rick is survived by his six children and their spouses: Jeremiah & Yvonne Robertson, Samantha Robertson & Shane, Jessica Cooper, Stephanie & Hal Noble, “Ricky” Robertson, Jr. and Joshua Robertson; 23 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; one brother, Jim Robertson; a handful of self adopted children: Anthony,  Colton, Tonja, Sarah “LuLu”, “Shorty”, Jenifer and many more.

Cremation services for Rick are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Ava, Missouri. His request was to be cremated.  The family will have a Celebration of Life Saturday, April 16 at 2:00 P.M. at Pleasant Ridge Southern Baptist Church in Douglas County.
