Rita Brewer

Rita (Underwood) Brewer, 73, of Williford, Arkansas was born in Thayer, Missouri, November 10, 1951 to Dorris and Louise (Shilvock) Underwood. She departed this earth on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at her home in Ozark Acres.

Survivors include her children: Kim Taylor and Tammy Key, both of Williford, and Amanda (Michael) Howerton of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; seven grandchildren: Austin, Haley (J. R.), Dillon, Trinity, Ashlyn, Makayla, and Hayden; seven great-grandchildren: Ashlyn, Hunter, Brogan, Addie, Chloe, Jeryn, and Wylder; siblings, Anna Underwood of Springfield, Missouri and Doris Palmer of Kingfisher, Oklahoma; and many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.

Rita was preceded in death by her parents, Louise Presnell and Dorris Underwood; two sisters, Dorothy Ledbetter and Phyllis Underwood; and a brother, George Underwood.

Rita’s greatest treasure in her life was her family. She also enjoyed nature and working in her yard. During retirement she spent many years volunteering in her daughter’s daycare and was “Grandma Rita” to many children over the years. She was of the Baptist faith and attended the Lighthouse Baptist Church.

Visitation of family and friends will be Monday, March 17, 2025 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Tri-County Funeral Home Chapel at Highland, Arkansas. The funeral service will be Tuesday, March 18 at 2:00 p.m. in the same facility with burial to follow in Jeff Cemetery near Myrtle, Missouri. Jackie Pickett will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Roger Richey, Austin Taylor, J. R. Pospisil, Hayden Howerton, Dillon Key, and Michael Howerton.
