When Bob was young, his family moved to the Mountain View, MO area where he spent his younger years. He was drafted in 1945 into the United States Army during World War II, where he spent time in Germany as a truck driver. Bob married Tillie Francis Fehr on April 29, 1948, in Mountain View, MO. They spent 71 years together. Bob and Tillie began their married life on a farm near his family in Mountain View. In 1956, they sold their farm, bought a semi, and Bob went on the road as a truck driver with Mayflower Moving Co. A couple of years later, Bob and Tillie purchased another farm in Hutton Valley, near Willow Springs, where they lived the rest of their lives. He would take his kids with him during the summer on the truck to be able to spend more time with them and let them see the United States with him. He retired from trucking in 1989 and took over the farm work from Tillie. Bob was an avid fisherman and spent lots of time at the lake fishing and camping. He also loved most sports, but the St. Louis Cardinals were his favorite. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Tillie; his parents, Fate and Lillian; one sister, Barbara Friga; and brothers-in-law, Tony Friga, Robert Feldman, and Ernest Pruett.
