He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Jennifer Mullins; mother, Rita Gibbs of Mountain View, MO; son, Levi and Aaron Mullins of Licking, MO; daughters, Allison “Squirrel” Mullins and Dalton Brooks of Winona, MO, and Raylee Mullins of Winona, MO; brothers, Frankie and Sherrie Mullins of Mountain View, MO, and Bobby Mullins of Mountain View, MO; mother-in-law, Barbara McAdams of Winona, MO; and grandsons Tyler Mullins, and Coleson Brooks.
Steven is preceded in death by his father, retired Staff Sergeant Ralph Gibbs, United States Air Force; father-in-law, Robert “Frog” McAdams; uncles, Michael Todd Morris and Frankie Morris; grandfather, Dennis Morris; grandmother, Louis Morris; nephew, David “Sparky” Morris Jr.; and sister, Dorris Gibbs.
Steven was the most dependable, loving, yet opinionated person anyone could ever ask for. He never met a stranger and always had a story to tell, no matter how long-winded or whether you wanted to hear it or not. Everyone always joked he was full of useless information, but now that information, useful or not, shall live forever in our hearts and memories. Steve never fell short on humor. Whether sitting at deer camp, on the job site, or at home with his family and friends, he was always the class clown.
Any child that ever came into his life was treated as his own, especially his best friends of many years, Tommy and Krystal Reed’s children. The little ones always found comfort resting atop his belly and chest, falling asleep to the kind, warm heart that lay beneath. His grandsons were always by Papa’s side, most of the time up to no good and getting into mischief.
Many yards in high school football ran, many miles of Fiber Optic cable drilled, many miles under his treads, many deer slain, many hearts loved, many memories made.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at Yarber Mortuary, Winona, Missouri, with Bro. Richard Dement officiating. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com.
