William “Bill” Armstrong, 85 years, 1 month, and 25 days old, passed away on January 20, 2025, at his home, with his wife by his side.
Bill was born November 26, 1939 in Paris, Missouri, to Fred and Adalene (Dooley) Armstrong.
On February 4, 1977, William and Jeanie Sanchez were united in marriage in Moline, Illinois.
Bill worked as an engineer at Quad City Die Casting in Moline, Illinois for several years. Later, Bill and Jeanie moved to Ava, Missouri, where they owned and operated Maple Lane Mobile Home Park in for many years.
Bill was a member of the Lions Club in Ava, Missouri. He served as their president for a year.
William enjoyed camping and spending time outdoors. He liked working in the garden and doing yard work. Most of all he loved spending time with his family, including his dog, Daisy.
William was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Terri Thomas and Stacy Bozeman; a sister, Urma Sue; and sister in law, Naomi Armstrong.
William is survived by his wife, Jeanie; one son, Bradley (Tessi) Rinehart; one daughter, Christine (Eric) Rinehart-Herndon; several grandchildren, Saran Rinehart, Blake (Theodora) Rinehart, Ariel (Kevin) Slavin, Thomas Bozeman, Dwayne Thomas, and Tonya Franks; several great-grandchildren, Kayson Slavin, Killian Slavin, Sarah Adams, Ambia Adams, Phoenix Barron, Raven Schultz, and Caitlyn Franks; six sisters, Jeanie Hilbert, Judy Cochran, Jo Manning, Cheryl (Orville) Gamble, Nelsie Taft, Glenna (Mike) Capranica; two brothers, Jim (Janet) Armstrong and Gary Armstrong; many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
A graveside service for Bill will be held at Rose Lawn Cemetery, in Moline, Illinois, on Friday, January 31, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. The family warmly invites family and friends to gather at Frank’s Pizzaria in Silvis, Illinois, for lunch and visitation, approximately from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., following the service. Food will be provided. Memorial donations can be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Shriners Hospital.
