Bears Fall to the Marshfield Bluejays

The Willow Springs Bears faced the Marshfield Bluejays for the consolation trophy in the Gold divison of the Blue and Gold Tournament. The first quarter saw both teams scoring fast and often. They traded a one point lead with the back and forth scoring for most of the first quarter. Marshfield led after the opening quarter 23-20. During the second quarter, the Bluejays were able to gain a bit of separation with efficent three point shooting. Marshfield led Willow Springs 41-31 at the half.

The Bluejays continued thier efficent three point shooting and pulled away from the Bears in the third quarter, leading 59-40. Marshfield attempted to control the clock in the fourth quarter, which allowed the Bears to cut into the gap a little bit. However, the Bluejay lead was too much to overcome and the Bears would fall, 72-59. Willow Springs will be back in action on Tuesday, January 2nd.
