Royals 7, Mariners 6

The Royals managed to avoid a late collapse after coming from behind to walk off the Seattle Mariners 7-6 at Kauffman Stadium. Nick Wittgren went from blowing a save in the top of the ninth to being credited with the win. He struck out one batter over two-thirds of a scoreless inning of relief.

Royals starter Brady Singer threw six no-hit innings and left in the eighth inning, charged with two runs while striking out eight.

Dairon Blanco drove in the game-winning run with a squeeze bunt in the bottom of the ninth. Kansas City is last in the AL Central at 39-and-81
