On Thursday four miles east of Winona on H Highway a 2004 GMC Sierra swerved to avoid a deer, ran off the left side of the highway, struck a road sign and overturned. The 21 year old male was transported by private vehicle to Mercy St. Francis Hospital in Mountain View. The accident was investigated by MSGT Foster of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
