The West Plains Zizzers faced the Bolivar Liberators in the Blue and Gold Tournament. The game was a fairly low scoring affair. Each team dealt with foul trouble from the beginning and had troubles finding a shooting rhythm. Bolivar led throughout the first half, leading after the first quarter 12-9 and at halftime 25-21. The scoring picked up near the end of the first half with the teams trading baskets.
West Plains came out of the half on a 7-0 run and took a three point lead during the quarter. The Zizzers controlled the third quarter outscoring Bolivar 17-8 in the quarter. The fourth quarter started with the Zizzers leading 38-33. Bolivar used a scoring run of their own to get within one point. The teams then continued to answer each other trading baskets. West Plains led with about two minutes left in the game. Fouls and turnovers helped Bolivar cut into the lead. Bolivar scored on a layup at the buzzer to take the game 46-44.
