Mary Augusta Hayes Smith, age 55 of Alton, MO, was born April 29, 1967, in California and passed away January 2, 2023 at her home, surrounded by close family.
Loving wife to Denford Smith and blessed with three sons and a daughter. Mother to Dinford G. Smith II and wife Cynthion, Kodiey M. Smith, stepmother to Curtis M. Briggs and wife Kattie, Atasha I. Cruz, grandmother to Elektra and Keisha Briggs, Abel and Aiden Burrow, Lillian, Shayla and Daylin Smith and many others she was Nana to. Two sisters Paula Hayes-Harris and Scheryl Hayes Hayes smith Boughton and many other she considered family.
She was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Lois Hayes and a baby girl.
Graveside services will be 2:00pm Wednesday, January 4, 2022, at the Many Springs Cemetery. Services under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO.
