GAINESVILLE, Mo. — A Gainesville man was arrested following a reported theft April 30, according to information posted June 11 by the Ozark County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the sheriff’s office, Deputy Moss and Lt. Rhoades responded to a report of a theft in Gainesville. During the investigation, deputies reviewed video footage that reportedly showed a man entering the store, creating a distraction and stealing alcoholic beverages.
Authorities identified the suspect as Logan Jones. According to the sheriff’s office, Jones was partially identified by a shirt deputies had seen him wearing during a previous contact. The shirt reportedly read, “Good Times, Bad Friends.”
The sheriff’s office stated Jones had been transported to the location by friends before allegedly taking the alcoholic beverages. Deputies later located Jones at his residence, where he was reportedly wearing the same shirt.
Jones was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of stealing, trespassing and burglary. According to the sheriff’s office, Jones had previously been banned from the location.
All charges are allegations, and defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
