A Hartville man was moderately injured Thursday evening in a two‑vehicle crash west of town. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the wreck happened at 5:30 p.m. on July 9 on Missouri 38, about five miles west of Hartville.
Troopers report a 2000 Chevrolet Blazer, driven westbound by a 44‑year‑old Hartville man, began skidding, crossed the centerline, and struck an eastbound 1984 White Tractor 210 head‑on. Neither driver was wearing a seat belt. The Blazer was totaled, and the tractor sustained moderate damage.

The Blazer’s driver suffered moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. The tractor’s driver, a 52‑year‑old Hartville man, was not reported injured.
